The agricultural and former wine-growing village lies in the south-east part of the battleground at the foothills of Prace knoll. The history of the year 1805 is reminded by the Chapel of the Virgin Mary of Sorrows, built on the Zbýšov village green in 1836 as a thanksgiving for surviving the struggle of the Napoleonic crusades. On the outside under the roof inserted in the wall are two cannon balls from the period armaments. An iron cross by the road to the vineyards on the eastern edge of the village indicates the last resting place of soldiers of all fighting parties.
Within the administration area of Zbýšov below the peak of Staré vinohrady (Old Vineyards) lies a place, where several old routes crossed and through which during the Battle of Austerlitz all three Emperors went at different times of the day.
