Commemorative events program for the 195th Anniversary of the Battle of the Three Emperors.
Saturday 25 November 2000
- 9 am - 12 noon Promotional march by the communities and towns of the Slavkov (Austerlitz) battlefield.
First route: Šlapanice, Jiříkovice, Sokolnice, Telnice, Zbýšov.
Second route: Podolí, Tvarožná, Pozořice, Holubice, Blažovice.
- 2:30 - 3:15 pm Exhibition of uniformed units on the square in Vyškov.
- 3:45 - 4:15 pm Exhibition of uniformed units on the square in Rousínov.
Wednesday 29 November 2000
- 4:30 - 6 pm Promotional march through the streets of Brno.
Friday 1 December 2000
- 4:45 - 5 pm Ceremony at the French Soldiers' Cemetery in Šlapanice.
- 5:30 - 6 pm Jiříkovice bonfire - ceremony at "Na Žuráni". Jiříkovice and Podolí.
- 7 pm March of military troops through Křenovice to the soldiers' mass graveyard overlooking Křenovice. Wreath laying ceremony.
Saturday 2 December 2000 - in Tvarožná
- 9:30 am - 12:30 pm Military camp in Tvarožná with the participation of around 1,000 members - in period costumes - from military history clubs.
- 9:30 am Town clerks receiving unit commanders; presentation of commemorative medallions.
- 10 am Army commanders in conference.
- 12:15 pm Ceremonial opening at Tvarožná town hall; Town Clerk receives invited guests.
- 1 - 2:30 pm Re-enactment of the "Battle of the Three Emperors."
- 4 - 8 pm Military camp, fair, cultural program, folk entertainment, period attractions.
Saturday 2 December 2000 - in Slavkov
- 9 am - 4 pm Napoleon exhibition open to the public.
- 9 - 10:30 am Castle exhibition open to the public. 9:30 am - 5:30 pm Fair
- 10:30 - 11 am Arrival of the Austrian Emperor and the Russian Tsar in Slavkov (through the square, received at the town hall by the town's Burgermeister).
- 11 am - 12 pm Ceremonial reception of guests by Slavkov's Town Clerk and representatives of the Austerlitz Grave Mound Association at Slavkov Castle.
- 12 - 4 pm Costume walk about on castle grounds. 5 - 5:30 pm Arrival of the Emperor Napoleon, with retinue, to Slavkov (march through the square, Emperor's speech to the soldiers - with commentary).
- 5:30 pm Fireworks.
Saturday 2 December 2000 - in Šlapanice
- 9 am - 12 pm Military memorabilia collectors fair in Šlapanice
Sunday 3 December 2000 Mohyla Míru
- 11 - 11:30 am Grave mound - ceremony - commemorative medallions.
- 9 am - 5 pm Historical fair on the square in Šlapanice, organized by Město Šlapanice.
Sunday 3 December - in Slavkov
- 9 am - 4 pm Napoleon exhibition open for viewing.
- 9 am - 12 pm Castle exhibition open for viewing.
- 12 - 4 pm Costume walk about on castle grounds.
Sunday 3 December
- 2 pm Commemorative ceremony beside memorial crucifix at the Křenovice - Prace, Blažovice, Zbýšov crossroads.
- 1 - 3 December Military camp at the "Stará pošta" roadside inn in Kovalovice.
- 1 - 3 December Military camp, including period costumes, in courtyard of Obecní hospoda (Local Inn) in Křenovice, on the road to Slavkov.
