Official program of the Austerlitz 2004 commemorative events

This year we celebrate 199th anniversary of the battle of Austerlitz. Come and see the interesting event which is not equally matched anywhere in Europe! The phenomenon of the Austerlitz battlefield annualy attracts hundreds of re-nactors (members of military historical societies re-enacting historical events) and thousands of visitors. No place in Europe regularly hosted an event of such scale where more than one thousand warriors symbolicaly clash and finally meet at the piety act by the Mound of Peace on the Pratzen Heights...

Wednesday November 24^th
18.00-19.00 Vyškov - Periodical camp by the chateau
19.00-20.00 Vyškov - Engage between the French and the Allies on the square, occupation of the town

Thursday November 25^th
07.00-12.00 Rousínov - Combat movement with horses and wagons towards Rousínov
13.00-17.00 Rousínov - Continuation of the movement
18.00-19.00 Rousínov - Periodical camp on the square
19.00-20.00 Rousínov - Engage between the French and the Allies on the square, occupation of the town

Friday November 26^th
07.00-12.00 Slavkov u Brna - Combat movement with horses and wagons towards Slavkov (Austerlitz)
16.45-17.00 Šlapanice - Piety act at the local cemetery
17.00-18.00 Slavkov u Brna - Occupation of Austerlitz by the French and the Allies
17.30-18.00 Žuráň - Fires of Jiříkovice (commemoration of burning the village to the ground by the French)
19.00-20.00 Křenovice - Torch march of present troops and the piety act at the mass grave by the village
20.00-21.00 Slavkov u Brna - Torch march of the Austrian Infantry Regiment Nr. 20 & piety act at the chancellor Kaunitz' grave
19.30-20.00 Těšany - Piety act - Honour of the fallen in the battlle
20.30-21.30 Těšany - Exhibition of the battle scene by the old cemetery

Saturday November 27^th
08.00-12.00 Šlapanice - Military Flea Market
09.00-09.30 Slavkov u Brna - Festive line-up of all the troops & parade on the square
10.00-10.30 Tvarožná - Piety act - Laying of wreaths at the monument

10.00-11.30 Mokrá-Horákov - Combat movement from Mokrá-Horákov, occupation of Tvarožná
13.00-14.30 Tvarožná, under Santon Hill - RECONSTRUCTION OF "THE BATTLE OF AUSTERLITZ“

- Ticket price 130,-- CZK, free entrance for children up to 120 cm
- Free mass transport available for all the visitors from Brno central railway station to Rohlenka from 09.30 till 18.00 hrs.
