St. Hubertus Ride 2011 On the 12th november 2011 the Project Austerlitz and the Austerlitz castle organize the Saint-Hubertus Ride 2011 and the associated program in Austerlitz called St. Martin invites you for the battle of Austerlitz. THE SAINT-HUBERTUS RIDE 2011 12 NOVEMBER 2011 OLD POST OF POZORITZ, AUSTERLITZ On the 12th november 2011 the Project Austerlitz and the Austerlitz castle organize the Saint-Hubertus Ride 2011 and the associated program in Austerlitz called St. Martin invites you for the battle of Austerlitz. Approx. 20 horses and riders would participate, in napoleonic uniforms or another proper dress. The program starts at 1:15 p.m. by the departure of all riders from the Old Post to Austerlitz. All riders wouls rassemble near the Austerlitz castle for the official opening ceremony in the park, at 14:45 p.m. After a short welcome speach and presentation of the riders, their horses and the program, the riders would rejoin the infantry in the park for the public program that would consist of several horseriding and military demonstrations: - Hawking presenation by Frantisek Miros - Sergent-major Ragot fight (five austrian cuirassiers defeated by one french infantrymen during Bonaparte's 2nd italian campaign) - Horse dressage presentation by Sandra Dolezalova - demonstration of cavalry charge (a classical „film charge", and a proper charge executed according to the regulations), cavalry charge against infantry The public program ends in the park by a toast with the St-Martin's young wine, and the Ride continues on the way back to the Old Post : the riders will „chase the fox", and after the arrival to the Old Post, the winner will be announced, and the final „judgment" would take place.
