Austerlitz 2005: detailed information for registered participants

 

Registration number

In the invitation e-mail you have received a registration number assigned to your unit including the data provided by you in your registration. Every unit member should know this registration number in order to be recognized by the production team, security service, quartermasters etc. For the purpose of identification every single participant will receive an ID mark – a dark plastic wristband (decent one, easy to be hidden under the sleeve) – in order to be eligible to enter the reserved premises (especially the ‘battlefield’). In case of loss of the wristband a unit member will not be allowed to enter the event premises.

Accommodation

The organizers offer the accommodation in school buildings, gyms and sports halls (own sleeping bags, pads, blankets etc. required) to all participants who would be interested. The accommodation will be provided from 5 PM on Friday December 2nd until 3PM on Sunday December 4th. All the accommodation facilities are equipped (directly or in a close distance) with sanitary facilities and parking place. In all the premises the change and entering in clean footwear will be strictly demanded as well as the prohibition of smoking. During the stay in an accommodation facility it is absolutely necessary to follow instructions of present members of the organizational team. You will receive the information about your exact place of accommodation (town/community, building etc.) couple weeks before the event.

For hardcore fans of authenticity there will be the place for the camp designed on the ‘battlefield’ (sleeping in own tents only). The camp will be supplied in a standard way, i.e. with sufficient amount of straw, wood and water with the access to sanitary facilities. In case of need to accommodate your coach driver/drivers we ask you to report us this request at latest until Sunday October 16th 2005. For your driver/drivers we are able to book a double room at approximately CZK 1000,- (€ 33,-) / night. The hotel for drivers is located in Brno and there is a suitable parking place for coaches in its close vicinity.

Transportation

The organizers will provide the bus transportation of participants between the accommodation facilities (provided by organizers) and event localities. This transportation will not be provided as shuttle and hence we ask everyone to follow the instructions regarding the scheduled departures of buses.

Safety rules

During the entire official program of the event and mainly during the manipulation with arms replicas the strict ban on alcohol consumption as well as narcotic and psychotropic agents will be effective. The arms replicas of participants must be provided with a mark of technical capability by a respective national certification institute and in a proper technical condition. On the organizer’s call an event participant must allow the check of the technical condition of his/her arm replica at any time.

Catering, limited travel reimbursements, horse allowances

The organizer guarantees to provide catering (Sat: breakfast, lunch, dinner; Sun: breakfast, water, black powder and limited travel reimbursements according to the following table:

 

up to 50 km circuit A CZK 100,– (€ 3,–) per person or gun
up to 100 km circuit B CZK 200,– (€ 7,–) per person or gun
up to 200 km circuit C CZK 300,– (€ 10,–) per person or gun
up to 300 km circuit D CZK 400,– (€ 13,–) per person or gun
up to 400 km circuit E CZK 500,– (€ 17,–) per person or gun
more than 400 km circuit F CZK 600,– (€ 20,–) per person or gun

 

The production will also provide an allowance of CZK 3000,– (€ 100,– ) per every regularly registered horse (i.e. until May 31st 2005) actively participating the event. For all the regularly registered horses a proper stabling with supervision, permanent veterinary service and other necessary facilities will be provided.

 

The condition for a payment of reimbursements and/or allowances is a) a participation of a complete unit in the main events; b) meeting the instructions and safety rules during events and in the accommodation facilities. The reimbursements will be redeemed in cash in CZK on Sunday after the official ending of the event. Detailed instructions on this issue will be published later. Reimbursements will be payed to all the officers, NCOs and soldiers. Only a number of campfollowers (cantinieres, suttlers, children, civilians, etc.) equal to 10% of the number of officers, NCOs and soldiers will receive their reimbursements, too.

We advise all the participants of three fixed events of the program at which the participation is obligatory. These events are: 1) Saturday morning line ups in the designed accommodation locations; 2) Saturday battle; 3) Saturday evening program. Also units accommodated out of the facilities provided by the organizers must take part in the line ups in the designed time.

 

You will receive the detailed program of the event and the information about your assignment into the ordre de bataille within couple weeks.
